The Peace Garden is the newest area in St. Clare's Garden. As you pass under the scarlet roses cascading over the white lattice arbor, gray bouquet canyon stones lead the way. A vista of pool and pergola unfolds before you. Light illuminates the terraced rockery spreading left to right. On the ledge of the pool sits a large Japanese lantern, a stone and light pondering point. The pavilion has been fashioned in the spirit of a Japanese Teahouse. This is a perfect spot for meditation. This Peace Garden is a space apart to listen to the land of our soul, to observe seedlings sprouting in our hearts. The open sky and the open water invite you to stretch. This is a place to process, a place to be still, a place to pray and a place to journey. This is a gathering place. Here you can look into the mirror of water, mirror of sky and breath the peace of green leaves and flowers. Here sweet music falls from bird and bower.
